Italian Grand Prix: rookies arrive in FP2!

MotoGP | Valentino Rossi | Andrea Dovizioso | Rossi | Dovizioso | Marquez | Danilo Petrucci | Petrucci | Marc Márquez | Bagnaia | Francesco Bagnaia | Fabio Quartararo | Quartararo

At the end of the second session of free practice at Mugello, Pecco Bagnaia surprises with the best time on Friday 1'46.732. Behind him another rookie, Fabio Quartararo that closes in 1'46.778.
But the most "experienced" pilots put their hands forward: "they are only tests!"
And so the pilots express the feelings of the day outside with their bikes.
Bagnaia declares himself very happy because the work of the bike has finally paid off and satisfied with his time attack that he would like to replicate tomorrow in qualifying.
Petrucci, third in practice with an excellent 1'46.863, says he is satisfied with the feeling with the bike even though the track does not offer much grip and he is not in perfect shape. He expects a tough fight during tomorrow's qualifying, especially with Marquez who today, according to him, has been strategically hidden.
Marquez, on the other hand, says that his sixth place is due to the fact that he gave only 80% of himself due to a cold that hit him in the past few days; so today he worked only with a view to the race feeling satisfied with the bike and trusting that a restful night would bring him tomorrow to be at the top.
Dovizioso feels satisfied and not at all worried about his eleventh place; he has yet to find the feeling with the bike, but it is simply a matter of examining the data collected today and finding the right compromise.
Rossi, on the other hand, did not expect the 18th place: "I expected to be more competitive, last year I had a good feeling with the bike even though I had a few problems. This year we are using the bike in a different way and in several corners I go slower. We need to find a good feeling again to try and push the bike more ".
